Grand Potential Podcast

17Jul

At the Grand Connection, we often say:

“Introduce yourself so powerfully that others become your ambassadors.”

And the best way to do that? Through your Grand Intro.

Your introduction is your first impression. It’s how people remember you—and more importantly, how they repeat you to others.

Yet most entrepreneurs struggle to clearly say who they are, what they do, and who they want to meet. They ramble, they over-explain, or they default to a job title that doesn’t tell the full story.

That’s why we teach our community how to craft a Grand Intro—a short, clear, and compelling statement that opens doors to visibility, referrals, and opportunities.

Let’s walk through how to create one.

What Is a Grand Intro?

A Grand Intro is a 30-second statement that introduces:

  1. Who you help
  2. The transformation you create
  3. Why people should trust you
  4. How others can connect with or support you (your collaboration invitation—not a pitch)

It’s designed to be:

  • Clear
  • Concise
  • Memorable
  • Repeatable

When someone hears your Grand Intro, they should instantly understand what you do and be able to tell someone else about it.

The Grand Intro Formula

Here’s a simple format to follow:

“Hi, I’m [Your Name], a [Your Title or Role]. I help [Your Audience] with [The Transformation You Create]. With [Your Credibility Statement], I [share your unique value or superpower]. I’d love to connect with [Who You Want to Meet or Collaborate With].”

You can personalize this depending on the setting, but this framework works for events, emails, breakout rooms, or even your profile bio. (Our Grand Intro Workbook and ai assistant that you receive at the Grand Plan Accelerator works with many different frameworks. Practice and see what resonates with others.)

What a Grand Intro Is Not
  • “I do a little of everything.”
  • “I’m a coach and I help people live their best life.”
  • “I’m a consultant.”

These are vague, forgettable, and difficult to refer.

Your Grand Intro should be:

  • Focused on results
  • Rooted in your credibility
  • Inviting for collaboration—not pitching a service
When to Use Your Grand Intro
  • At the start of any Grand Connection event
  • In breakout rooms and 1:1s
  • On your online profile or website
  • In your email signature or bio
  • When someone says, “What do you do?”
  • Anywhere you want to make a lasting impression
Tip: Practice it aloud

Say your Grand Intro out loud until it feels natural. Try recording yourself or practicing with a peer. You want it to be smooth and confident—not robotic.

Final Thought

“The right words make it easy for others to refer, remember, and connect with you.”

Your Grand Intro is more than just a personal pitch—it’s the beginning of a Grand Connection.

So make it clear. Make it purposeful. And make it memorable.

Because when you speak with clarity, the right people find you—and bring others with them.
