Grand Potential Podcast

Small business’s can achieve phenomenal growth with the proper use of press releases. Crafting a good press release is a critical step in your publicity plan.

This master class with some guest experts from the community is for you if you are asking…

“What would the press possibly want to know about me or my company?”

or thinking…

“I can’t write!”

Any business is capable of being newsworthy, but reporters have to know about your news to cover your story. That’s why it’s so important to send out press releases. Reporters search for fresh stories every day and are looking for stories that are timely, affect a large number of people, have an emotional element, or relate to other news stories.

Simply saying “Look at my business!” isn’t newsworthy.

In this workshop we will work together to brainstorm what would make a good story for you and get started on your first draft. Our expert panel (and Grand Members) Mark Bradshaw of Pronounce Media, Krista Giannak, writer, and Julie Ann of Influence Publishing will be here to answer your questions.

Some of the things we will discuss:
*When you should issue a press release
*Finding a hook
*Crafting the story
*Steps to write a press release (with a template)
*Where to send it after its done

Bring paper and pen! We will work on our release and get feedback real-time with lots of Q & A with our publicity guests. Watch for the handout ahead.
