Grand Potential Podcast

25Sep

We experienced both grand inspiration and heartfelt connection at our Grand Connection Speakers Group event, where Danielle Benzon reminded us that meaningful networking begins with being human first. Together, we explored the power of authenticity, genuine curiosity, and leading with generosity to build trust and create lasting relationships.

We were reminded that when we show up as our true selves, listen with intention, and look for ways to support others, we open the door to meaningful referrals, collaborations, and opportunities. A special thank you to our wonderful co-host, Lona Fink, for helping create a welcoming space for connection.

🌟Danielle Benzon shared:

  • Emphasized that networking should begin with being human first, building genuine relationships rather than treating people as transactions.
  • Focus on who you are, your values, and what you stand for, not just your job title or what you sell.
  • Think about the feeling you want people to have after meeting you, even if they remember only one thing about you.
  • A networking introduction should spark curiosity and invite further conversation, not explain everything about your business.
  • Show up authentically by embodying your values and the qualities you want people to associate with your brand.
  • Ask thoughtful questions and take a genuine interest in others before making an offer or pitching your services.
  • Look for ways to help others through referrals, introductions, and potential collaborations.
  • Understand the problem you solve, what makes your approach unique, and the people you are best suited to serve.
  • Build connections around shared values, trust, and mutual fit, recognizing that people may become clients, partners, referral sources, or friends.
  • The key message is that authenticity, curiosity, and generosity create deeper connections and meaningful opportunities.

🌟 What others said about the event:

  • A great reminder that networking is about building genuine relationships, not just making connections.
  • I love the idea of leading with who I am and what I value, rather than focusing on what I sell.
  • This inspired me to ask more meaningful questions and listen with genuine curiosity.
  • Authenticity and generosity can create opportunities for collaboration in the most natural ways.
  • I’m reminded that a simple introduction, when shared with intention, can open the door to a meaningful connection.
  • Thank you SOOOO much, this was very inspiring.
